The game
Every Strings board is a small grid of letters with a theme hidden inside it. The theme words snake through the grid in any direction, never overlap, and together they use every letter. One of them is special: the String names the theme itself and stretches from one side of the board to the other.
You can play a few minutes over coffee or settle in for a long run of levels. There is a new Daily every day that every player shares, more than 900 levels to work through, trophies to collect and friends to compare streaks with. There is no timer to beat and nothing to sign up for.
What we care about
- Fair puzzles. Theme words never overlap and together they fill the board, so careful reading always gets you there.
- Help you earn. Hints come from playing: spot ordinary words on the board and the hint meter fills up.
- A calm screen. Warm light, sepia and dark themes, and no countdowns.
- Respect for your data. No account is needed, and the privacy policy says plainly what is collected and why.
Who makes Strings
